Intimate Lakeside Wedding at Private Residence

It rained a good portion of the day….pouring rain. Then, just an hour after they were set to have their ceremony, the rain ceased, the tent was picked up, and the two of them were married in a brief and intimate ceremony on Sarah’s parents’ dock on the lake. A vibrant table setting of Dahlias was set up on the other portion of the dock where everyone sat and ate al fresco.

Sarah & Chris contacted me just about a month before their wedding date looking for a photographer. They decided they wanted to get married and they put everything together really quick for a sweet and simple wedding celebration. More and more I’m finding these little weddings, even the last minute ones are the days I enjoy being a part of the most - finding what is most important to you, and throwing away all of the rest.

This was a sweet little celebration, and honestly for all of the rain we did have that day, it ended up being one of the most beautiful October evenings you could have asked for.
